Your voice matters.
Sharing your story is always your choice. Scars Like Wings Foundation creates survivor-centered opportunities for storytelling, connection, and awareness, including the 31 Voices of Survival initiative.
You are in control
You never owe anyone your story. Share only what feels safe, and take the time you need before deciding whether to submit anything.

Before you submit
- Consider whether someone else may access your device, email, or accounts.
- Do not include details that could put you or someone else at risk.
- Choose the level of consent that feels right for you, including private, anonymous, or public sharing when those options are offered.
- You can ask questions before deciding whether to participate.
What storytelling can do
Survivor stories can help challenge silence, build understanding, and remind others that they are not alone. Your experience belongs to you, and choosing not to share is just as valid.
Important safety information
Story submissions are not monitored 24/7 and should never be used for emergency assistance. Scars Like Wings Foundation is not a 24/7 crisis hotline, emergency-response agency, emergency shelter, law firm, medical provider, or clinical mental-health treatment facility.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or contact local emergency services.
